I am the pastor of Graham Friends Church in Graham, NC. This is my fourth pastorate and I am in my 12th year here in Graham. I served the One Way House (now called Fellowship Christian Church in Springfield, Ohio, for almost six years, St Paul United Methodist Church in the same town for three years, and Christ UMC in Lakeview, Ohio, for almost six years. I wonder how all of these pastorates came about since I was raised Lutheran and my theology is thoroughly Lutheran.
I am also Chaplain to the city’s police department. Because I do not have enough to do, I am also trying to get a Scripture Mission started. In fact, it is likely to become my main focus over the next many years. I would love to form a Lollardy movement as part of this mission. I do not mean an anti-Rome movement but instead, a movement that puts feet on the gospel. If you are interested in this, please contact me.
I was born in Springfield, Ohio, as was my wife, Susan, who married me 34 years ago this September. She is the Business Manager for the Friedl Building Business Center at Duke University. We have two married daughters, Cristin and Miriam, and two granddaughters, Corinne and Juliet.
Susan and I are both graduates of Ohio Wesleyan University where we each majored in English Literature. I also received the Master of Arts in Theology from Houston Graduate School of Theology and am almost finished with the Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies and Theology from Carolina Graduate School of Divinity.
