From the Reformer
11. If it is actually faith alone that justifies, there is clearly no regard for our merits or our works , but only for the merits of Christ.
12. This faith calms and gladdens the heart. Rom 5:1: “Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace.”
—Philip Melancthon, Loci Communes Theologici
Pulling It Together
God does not hate you for your actions. He does however desire that your actions would be pleasing to him. The transformed heart cannot help but be glad and the glad heart cannot help but dance. The heart gladdened by God cannot help but dance with joy before his glory. It matters not what men or women may think of how you dance or who you dance for; it only matters that your heart dances.
