Playing a bit of catch-up…here are photos of this year’s Christmas Parade here in Graham, NC. This year’s parade had over 200 entries. Most are very nice. The high school marching bands and the floats are great. But the business stuff…including all of the tacky “sponsored by” signs on the floats are, well…tacky. What a cheap advertisement for businesses too. $50-100? Come on! Charge them hundreds and run them out of the parade—or at least make some real dough off of them. Seriously though; they are a distraction to the parade. I’ll never forget the septic tank cleaning truck with the big red bow on it in our first Graham Christmas parade (2002). Wow. Have a septic Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas in Graham. What’s up with their Chriskindlmarkt? Who’s Chris and what’s he got to do with the Christmas season in Graham, NC? Well, at least they got it spelled appropriately on the city web site. That will probably change now
