Speaking of back yards… We had Vacation Bible School this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. What a great time! 44 children and youth…over two dozen adult leaders and helpers. It was so much fun that most parents stuck around just to see how much fun their children were having.
The theme was built around the metaphor of water in the scripture. So one of the crafts was a sports bottle that the kiddos decorated. Here’s mine; the kids were far more elaborate than I was when it came time to decorate. In fact, they were so pleased with their handiwork that half of them carried around their decorated, one-quart sports bottles with juice or water in them for the rest of the school days. I’m carrying mine today!

Did I mention that the theme was water? Recreation was refreshing and wild…
It’s kind of sad but all of the slip-n-slides and water slides are deflated and drying out on the lawn now.
But we can look forward to next year’s VBS and look at all of the other photos to remind us of the good times.
That was such a cool VBS. The kids had a crazy-good time!
