Btw, just found it: http://www.polaroid.co.uk/service/userguides/photographic/daylab35_ug.pdf I think I have a Daylab Jr. not a 35 but this is close enough and gives me the exposure help which is what I was mainly looking for. If you want to come over or me come there sometime, we can print. You just need Polaroid 669 film. 20 photos per box.

That'd be great if you got it going to your satisfaction. I worked for a few hours on doing Photoshop lifts of a crab I shot at the beach. It's just not the same thing.

I shot slide film because I want to print Polaroid transfers and then scan the transfer to blow it up to a huge (16x20 minimum) print.

I've run into some snags with my DayLab because I bought it used and thus it didn't come with a manual (been meaning to Google that) and I've still got the mind-set that Polaroid transfers are "easy" because the DayLab from school was broken so the sliders for CMY were movable but not set-able, if that makes sense, so you could only print on one setting. Thing was, it was the most wonderfully correct setting for every slide I ever put on it but I never knew what it was because the sliders went all willy-nilly up and down yet didn't actually set anything.

So anyways, I got discouraged with my DayLab and have yet to revisit my idea. But the more I think about it, I don't think the medium is right for the subject because of the minute detail so I plan to try a set of buildings. Shot them. Need to try printing.

Off to Google for my manual. Might even give Polaroid a call. Here's hopin'!
