Congratulations to Danny and Chris who have just moved their Church Street Barber Shop into the historic Downtown Barber Shop in Burlington, NC. I went in to get my hair cut this morning and it looks like they’ll be having a steady flow of traffic. I even saw my old buddy, Darrell Mansfield in there. He suggested that Danny give me a mohawk. I told him I’d already had one of those. He didn’t seem to believe me but here’s a photo to prove it…
The Downtown Barber Shop has been there on the corner across from Zach’s Hotdogs for 100 years. May it will last another century.

Since then, I have learned that it’s just Danny’s shop. Otis, who used to own it still works there. Danny is still trying to get a third regular. Since Chris left a few months back, Stephanie started but didn’t make it. Now an ex-cop from Liberty and Randleman, named Cliff is cutting. He did a good job with my hair last week.
